Misty Lynne Cauthen, Certified Master Trainer, Studio Owner Misty Lynne has been a Certified Pilates Instructor since 2001. Since discovering the benefits of Pilates, Misty has made it her mission to bring the healing, invigorating and uplifting effects of the Method to her clients and friends. Misty Lynne has spearheaded several Pilates programs around the Pittsburgh area, and has taught Pilates at several prestigious local institutions, including Point Park University’s internationally renowned department of dance and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Misty was certified with the PhysicalMind Institute in 2000, and completed her Peak Pilates certification in 2006. Rose MolderSenior Teacher
Rose discovered Pilates in 2005 after looking for an exercise program that wouldn’t aggravate her pre-existing knee and shoulder injuries. After experiencing its rehabilitative benefits and its constant physical challenges, it soon became her exercise of choice. She became so enthralled with the method and its wide range of challenging exercises that she enrolled in the Balanced Body Teacher Training Program in 2011. Doug’s forty-nine-year career as a professional dancer has been about movement…Now he brings the same love of movement via Pilates! He finds it rewarding to watch the joy in his client’s eyes when they actually see and feel the transformation in their body, mind, and overall sense of well-being. Chelsie discovered Pilates while searching for an alternative to surgery. Prior to that, she worked in childcare for 10 years. Chelsie shifted her focus after falling in love with the Pilates Method, and became a Pilates instructor. Lynn’s has studied ballet and modern dance for over 30 years and was first introduced to Pilates while in the professional program at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. She pursued Pilates teacher training in 1998 under Romana Kryzanowska, a master teacher trained by JOSEPH Pilates and completed her training in December 1999. She continued her Pilates education with the late Romana Kryzanowska, Sari Santo, Bob Liekens, Michael Fritzke, and Ton Voogt. Lynn taught Pilates in NYC at Drago’s gym, The Pilates Studio of NY, Reebok Sports Club, and The New School and in New Jersey at The Atlantic Club and Center for Pilates Red Bank. Sharon is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher with over 10 years of experience. A former professional dancer, she brings a commitment to cultivating the links between mind, body, and movement to every lesson she teaches. Sharon enjoys educating people of all ages, stages, and fitness levels to use their God-given talent for movement for strength, healing, and overall fitness. Andrea Haney has been in the fitness industry since 1984. She has taught fitness classes at Oxford Athletic Club, Club One and The City Club (now Bally’s) in downtown Pittsburgh. She went back to school as an adult studying Health and Fitness at the University of Pittsburgh.
Andrea received two certifications in Pilates thru Peak Pilates and Harmony. She has taken Pilates seminars, classes and certifications in Colorado, New York, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. She is also a Level 1 Gyrotonic instructor. She also owned The Pilates Centre in Allison Park, PA and is an avid golfer, tennis player and loves to teach Pilates. Read More..
Rebecca became passionate about Pilates after purchasing her first Pilates VHS 21 years ago. She found Dragonfly Pilates ten years ago, and told Misty she wanted to train in a real studio and someday become a Pilates instructor. Four years ago, she began her journey in the Teacher Training Program at Dragonfly Pilates. She is currently a certified instructor of Air Control Pilates. She continues to be passionate about the philosophy of Pilates and the impact of body movement. Rebecca has also been a Special Education Teacher for 26 years. She enjoys utilizing some of the Pilates Principles with her students in order to create better posture and increased focus. Rebecca aspires to becoming PMA certified prior to the summer of 2020. Desiree S. LeeTeacher
Desiree S. Lee was introduced to Pilates as a way to strengthen her core during her early dance training. Later in life, she developed knee issues from marathon training and high aerobic dancing in West Africa. In 2010, she was reintroduced to Pilates as a way to promote flexibility and to prevent ongoing injuries while continuing her marathon training. Desiree successfully completed her marathon without injury, but realized that she enjoyed the flowing movement and wanted to continue promoting core stability.
