Onboarding

I’ve never done this before. How do I get started?

Don’t fret - we’ve got you! Once you’re set up in the software, we’ll schedule an Onboarding Call with you. This is a complimentary 30-minute call to help you set up your Dragonfly Pilates app, position your device for optimal viewing (for yourself and your teacher) and answer any questions you may have about getting started. We’ll also troubleshoot your internet connection, so your experience is as seamless as possible.


Which device should I use?

The device you have! Whether it’s a laptop, phone or tablet, we can make it work. We may recommend the purchase of a tripod or stand for your device to make it easier to place your camera in its best possible position.


Do I need special software?

No way! Just Google Meet - an app that’s easy to download from the App Store. Once you have that, you’re almost there! We’ll help you with it during your Onboarding Call.


I can’t see you on my little screen. What can I do?

We can walk you through casting/mirroring your little screen onto your big television, depending on your set-up. We’ll discuss your options in your Onboarding Call.


My Wi-Fi is crap. Should I give up?

No, but we should definitely work together to troubleshoot! Let’s chat about it.

Classes / Memberships

How do I know which class is appropriate for my level?

Our classes are customized - in fact, we’re known for teaching group classes that feel like private sessions. Modifications and variations are given throughout class, so that everyone has a unique experience.


If you’re a true beginner and have never taken Pilates before, we HIGHLY recommend the Beginners Series and/or Foundations class as your launch point: it will allow us to get acquainted with your body, and you to get acquainted with us and the method. We’ll discuss this in greater detail during the onboarding session.


Should I begin Pilates if I am injured, in pain, or have not prioritized my fitness?

YES...today is a perfect moment to initiate your Pilates journey with us! Pilates is a rehabilitation exercise that focuses on addressing muscular imbalances and restoring structural alignment. Contact us before scheduling to ensure you register for classes that focuses on a therapeutic approach.


*Whether you are recovering from surgery or a significant injury, you should get medical approval before beginning any fitness program.


What happens if I am pregnant?

Women who are pregnant may participate in group classes during their first trimester with prior Pilates experience, copy of a physician's note on file and may continue with private sessions throughout their term. We do strongly encourage woman to practice Pilates throughout their pregnancy and the safety of mommy and baby are our first priority!


Is there an age requirement for taking classes?

To attend classes, you must be at least 18 years old, or at least 16 years old with parental consent. We promote young growing bodies by building protected and strengthened bodies, giving them a competitive advantage in their favorite sports. During a private session, we can address the specific needs of an adolescent body.


Do you have an app?

Yes, and it’s accessible through both the Apple and Android stores.


What if I’d prefer to drop-in?

You’re welcome to, but membership has its privileges. Members receive priority scheduling, meaning drop-ins/non-members are limited in number of spots/classes available per class.


Are classes recorded for future use?

Not at this time, but we’ll never say never!


Can I pay monthly by check instead of autopay?

No. Payments must be either in full or monthly by autopay. This can be done via ACH draft or credit card.


What’s the class cancellation policy?

We adhere to a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations/no-shows within that period will be charged for the full class.


Can I cancel my membership?

Yes, but penalties will apply. Please see the membership contract for further information.


I don’t want to book my classes - will you do it for me?

Yes - for an additional $15/month, we will schedule your classes for you. Please check out Dragonfly Concierge for details.

Gift Cards

Is the purchase of memberships / group packs different from the purchase of gift cards?

Live Group Session purchases, unlike gift cards, are unique to the purchaser/user. Online purchases are made under your specific profile, using your unique login information, and are designed for your use only. Classes are non-transferable, which means you cannot give them to someone else as a gift (i.e. convey ownership), and expires based on the date of purchase. The expiration dates are listed in the membership descriptions or series of classes. If you have a major emergency and are unable to make it in, please contact us to assist you.


Gift Cards are purchased to give to others. The classes will expire once the gift card has been redeemed and a purchase has been activated, just like any other classes purchased.

Pilates Props

Why are Pilates Props Beneficial?

Pilates props may appear insignificant, but they are critical to maximizing your Pilates workout. Props are used to activate the body and make any practice more challenging and beneficial.


Apparatus Rental

I want a Reformer/Chair/both. What are my options?

Great! Apparatus is available for rent based on availability, and are for the length of your contract. Please contact us for additional information.


Do you deliver?

Yes, we do. The fee is $75 each way. Please contact us for more information.


Is there a minimum contract term for rentals?

Yes - the minimum term is six months.


Can I rent apparatus without a class contract?

Uh, no. That’s no fun!

Those are my lovely, beautiful terrorist that often make an appearance during our Live Group Sessions. Pheonix is featured on this page and his sister, Littles is featured on our Live Group Session photos - they are not camera shy! Their shenanigans provide endless entertainment to our community.
